Replace the media holders that have switches, for
feeding and the media holders for take-up. Make sure
you use a replacement media holder for this printer.

Before starting this procedure, be sure to read the
following.

If you want to replace these parts regardless of the
on-screen messages, execute Maintenance - Replace
Maintenance Parts - Replace Take In Media Holder or
Replace Take Up Media Holder, and then do the
replacement work. If you do a replacement without
executing it from the settings menu, the media holder
counter will not operate correctly.
What You'll Need
❏ New media holder
❏ Hex wrench supplied with the printer (when
replacing the Take In Media Holder)
❏ Commercially available Phillips head screwdriver
(when replacing the Take Up Media Holder)
How to replace the Take In Media
Holder

Check that no media is loaded on the Media
Feeding Unit.
If any media is loaded, remove it.

Remove the cables from the clamps.

Remove the 2 cables from the printer.

Loosen the fixing screw on the media holder.
