The printer enters sleep mode after a specified time during which no print
jobs are received, no errors are detected, and the heater is off. In sleep
mode, the control panel screen, the internal optical sensors, and inside
lights turn off.
The screen display recovers when you press on the control panel screen.
Sleep mode is canceled and the printer returns to normal when a print job
is received, an operation involving printer hardware is done, such as
operating the media loading lever.
To cancel sleep mode and begin preheating the heater immediately, press
Preheat Start on the Home screen.
Date/Time Settings
Date/Time Set the printer’s built-in clock. The time and date set here are displayed on
the Home screen. It is also used for job logs and the printer's status as
shown in Epson Edge Dashboard.
Time Difference -12:45 to +13:45 Set the time difference with coordinated universal time (UTC) in 15 minute
increments. In network environments with a time difference, set this as
necessary when administrating the printer.
