Cleaning Setting The printer constantly monitors the condition of the print head nozzles
while printing, so set the operation for when clogged nozzles (missing
nozzles) are detected during monitoring.
When the number of clogged nozzles that are detected exceeds the
number set in Threshold Of Clogged Nozzles, print head cleaning is
executed as part of maintenance.
Max Retry Cleaning Count sets the number of times maintenance can be
retried if the clogged nozzles are not cleared after maintenance is done.
When Nozzle Check Schedule is set to Between Jobs, then maintenance
is done after completing the job during which clogged nozzles were
detected, but before the next print job starts. With When Detected,
printing is stopped when a clogged nozzle is detected, and then
maintenance is done. Because cleaning is done while printing, printing
may be disturbed or head striking may occur.

Actions Beyond the

Nozzles
Stop Printing Set the action when the number of clogged nozzles that are detected
exceeds the number set in Threshold Of Clogged Nozzles.
When Stop Printing is set, the The Print head may require
maintenance. It is recommended to perform a Print Head Nozzle
Check before printing. message appears on the control panel screen,
and printing is stopped and the printer idles.
When Show Alert is set, printing continues without stopping while the
message remains displayed.
When Auto Cleaning is set, the print head is cleaned at the timing set in
Nozzle Check Schedule.
