Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) optical transceivers are used by the iPlex to
provide optical connections to the network. There are two types of SFP optical
transceivers available: one for MMF cable and one for SMF cable. Both use an LC
connector to provide 1000BASE-T full-duplex connectivity between modules and
the network.
