8 TROUBLESHOOTING
Perform these checks and inspections before contacting an authorized service technician.
Fault symptom Corrective actions
The welding equipment is
not working properly
Check that the main power supply switch is turned on.
Check that the operating controls are at required settings.
Check all power cables and connections for evidence of overheating
or sparking.
Gas leakage Check all gas hoses, connections, flowmeters and regulators for
possible sources of breakdown or intermittent failure.
The trigger lock does not
lock ON
Check that the trigger lock is ON and then release the trigger after the
arc is established.
The wire feed is slow/stiff
when moving through the
wire feed mechanism.
Clean the liners and other mechanical parts of the wire feeding
mechanism with pressurized air.
