Restoring Factory System Settings
To restore System settings, power up while simultaneously pressing the Right
Footswitch and the Encoder until [CLEAR SETUP] is displayed.
Restoring Factory Presets and System Settings
CAUTION: This function will overwrite any Presets that you have saved.
To restore Factory Presets and all System settings, power up while simultaneously
pressing the Middle Footswitch and the Encoder until [INITIALIZING] is displayed.
Software Updates
’s software can be upgraded over USB. To enable the software update, power up while
pressing the Middle Footswitch until [UPDATE] is displayed.
With Software Versions 5.0 and higher, ’s software can be updated in one of two ways;
using either the H9 Control application or the Eventide Update Utility. H9 Control is the
recommended method although either will work just fine. Both of these applications, and
information on how to use them, are available for free download from
www.eventide.com/AudioDivision.aspx
Note: For software versions earlier than 5.0, the Eventide Update Utility is the only method for
updating the software on your pedal.
To update ’s software with the Eventide Update Utility;
1) Download and Install the latest version of the Eventide Update Utility. This will
require an Eventide account.
2) Connect your Pedal to the computer via USB (cable not provided).
3) Launch the Eventide Update Utility application. This could take up to a minute
while the pedal is recognized by the software.
4) Select the System Version from the Available Updates list and click Update.
5) When prompted enter your Eventide.com username and password.
6) Review the Release Notes and License Agreement.
To update using the H9 Control:
1) Download and Install the appropriate version of H9 Control for your OS.
2) Connect your Pedal to your computer via USB (cable not provided).
3) Launch H9 Control If you have not registered your pedal, you will be prompted to
enter your Eventide.com username and password.
4) If H9 Control doesn’t automatically launch a bundled application called Eventide
Direct Updater, click the “Pedal” tab at the bottom of the window, select “Update
Stompbox’s Software”, and launch the Direct Updater. Follow the steps listed in
the Updater. You will be prompted to enter your Eventide username and
password.
