The command sequence is as follows:
Sending the SIS sequence:
l A card is moved from the feeder to the contact station, and stops underneath it.
l The contact station is pushed downwards to make contact with the card.
l The printer connects the contact station to the DB-9 connector.
l The chip can be programmed via the external coupler.

The Evolis product catalogue also includes printers equipped with a chip contact station and a built-in encoder. These encoders connect
to the PC via a USB interface.
