Thebrakeleverengagesaparkingbrakeonthedrive
wheels.
Pulltheleverupandrearwardtoengagethebrake.
Pushtheleverforwardanddowntodisengagethe
brake.
Height-of-CutFootLever
Theheightofcutleverallowstheoperatortolower
andraisethedeckfromtheseatedposition(Figure3).
Whentheleverismovedforward,awayfromthe
operatorthedeckisraisedfromthegroundand
whenmovedback,towardstheoperatoritislowered
towardtheground.Onlyadjusttheheightofcut
whilemachineisnotmoving.
HourMeter
Locatedonthecontrolpanel.
Thehourmeterisconnectedtoapressureswitch
installedintheengineblockanditrecordsthenumber
ofhoursthattheenginehasrun(Figure4).Ifthe
ignitionswitchisleftonwithoutenginerunning,
hourmeterwillnotrun.
Note:Thisswitchisnotalowoilsensorandwillnot
alerttheoperatoriftheengineoilislow .

•Donotmowneardrop-offsornearwater.
•Donotmowslopesgreaterthan15
degrees.
•Reducespeedanduseextremecaution
onslopes.
•Whenmowingslopes,graduallywork
fromlowertohigherareasontheincline.
•Avoidsuddenturnsorrapidspeed
changes.
•Turnup,intoaninclinewhenchanging
directionsonslopes.Turningdownthe
slopereducestraction.
•Attachmentschangethehandling
characteristicsofthemachine.Useextra
cautionwhenusingattachmentswiththe
machine.
