UsingStabilizer/Conditioner
Useafuelstabilizer/conditionerinthemachineto
providethefollowingbenets:
•Keepsgasolinefreshduringstorageof30daysor
less.Forlongerstorageitisrecommendedthat
thefueltankbedrained.
•Cleanstheenginewhileitruns.
•Eliminatesgum-likevarnishbuildupinthefuel
system,whichcauseshardstartingAddthe
correctamountofgasstabilizer/conditionerto
thegas.
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismosteffective
whenmixedwithfreshgasoline.Tominimizethe
chanceofvarnishdepositsinthefuelsystem,usefuel
stabilizeratalltimes.
Gasoline/Alcoholblends
Gasohol(upto10percentethylalcohol,90percent
unleadedgasolinebyvolume)isapprovedforfueluse
bytheenginemanufacturer.Othergasoline/alcohol
blendsarenotapproved.
FillingtheFuelTank
1.Shuttheengineoffandsetthemotioncontrols
totheneutralpositionandengageparkingbrake.
2.Cleanaroundthefueltankcapandremovethe
cap.
3.Addunleadedregulargasolineuntilthebodyof
thetankisfullbutfueldoesnotlltheneckof
thetank(Figure6).Thisspaceintheneckofthe
tankallowsgasolinetoexpand.Donotllthe
fueltankcompletelyfull.

Beforeyoustarttheengineandusethemachine,
checktheoillevelintheenginecrankcase;referto
CheckingtheOilLevelinEngineMaintenance.
StartingtheEngine
1.Sitdownontheseatandmovethemotion
controlsoutwardtotheneutralpositionand
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Disengagethebladesbymovingthebladecontrol
switchtoOff(Figure7).
