1.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,and
allowenginetocool.Removekeyandengage
parkingbrake.
2.Locatethetwoltersunderthetransmissions.
Removelterguards.
3.Carefullycleanareaaroundlters.Itisimportant
thatnodirtorcontaminationenterhydraulic
system.
4.Unscrewlterstoremoveandallowoiltodrain
fromdrivesystem.
Important:Beforereinstallingnewlters,
applyathincoatofoilonthesurfaceofthe
ltersrubberseal.
Turntheltersclockwiseuntilrubberseal
contactsthelteradapterthentightenthelter
anadditional3/4to1fullturn.
5.Removetheventplugoneachtransmissionand
llthroughexpansionreservoir,whenoilcomes
outofventreinstallplug.Torqueplugsto180
in-lb(244N-m).Continuetoaddoiluntilit
reachestheFULLCOLDlineontheexpansion
reservoir.

6times).Checktheoillevel,andaddoilas
requiredafterstoppingtheengine.
C.ItmaybenecessarytorepeatstepsAand
Buntilalltheairiscompletelypurgedfrom
thesystem.Whenthetransaxleoperatesat
normalnoiselevelsandmovessmoothly
forwardandreverseatnormalspeeds,then
thetransaxleisconsideredpurged.
DoNotchangehydraulicsystemoil(exceptforwhat
canbedrainedwhenchanginglter),unlessitisfelt
theoilhasbeencontaminatedorbeenextremelyhot.
Changingoilunnecessarilycoulddamagehydraulic
systembyintroducingcontaminatesintothesystem.
