Themowerbladesmustbelevelfromsidetoside.
Checktheside-to-sidelevelanytimeyouinstallthe
mowerorwhenyouseeanunevencutonyourlawn.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
2.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtothe
neutralposition,engageparkingbrake,stopthe
engine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Checktheairpressureofallfourtires.Ifneeded,
adjusttotherecommendedination;referto
CheckingtheTirePressureinDriveSystem
Maintenancesection.Ifeitheroneisoutofrange
thenfollowadjustmentprocedure.
4.Carefullyrotatethebladessidetoside.
5.Measurebetweentheoutsidecuttingedgesand
theatsurface(Figure44).Ifbothmeasurements
arenotwithin3/16inch(5mm),anadjustmentis
required;continuewiththisprocedure.

blocksundertherearedgeofthecuttingdeck
skirt;oneoneachsideofthecuttingdeck.Place
two25/16inch(5.89cm)blocksundereachside
ofthefrontedgeofthedeck,butnotunderthe
anti-scalprollerbrackets.
9.Carefullyrotatethebladessidetoside(Figure44).
10.Loosenthelevelingadjustlockingnuts(item4)
onallfourcornerssothatthedeckissitting
securelyonallfourblocks.Makesurethatthe
deckhangersareallthewaydown(atthetopof
theslot)andthedeckliftfootleverispushedback
againstthestop,thentightenthefourleveling
adjustlockingnuts
11.Recheckthatblockstjustsnuglyunderthedeck
skirt.Makesureallattachmentboltsaretight
12.Continuelevelingthedeckbycheckingthe
front-to-rearbladeslope;refertoAdjustingthe
Front-to-RearBladeSlope.
13.Recheckbladesforlevelnessandrepeatdeck
levelingprocedureifnecessary.
