903 EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER
903.1 GENERAL
To improve the passive security, the EXTRA 300/S can be equipped with an optional Emer-
gency Locator Transmitter POINTER 3000 ELT. This POINTER 3000 ELT transmits auto-
matically after a crash or manual activity on the emergency frequencies of 121.5 MHz
(civilian) and 243.0 MHz (military).
903.2 LIMITATIONS
The operation limitations are not effected due to the installation of the POINTER 3000 ELT.
For the location and operation of the transmitter the following placards have to be attached
in the aircraft:
ELT located here - placard outside on the left fuselage board in high of the ELT-unit,
ELT - placard above the ELT- circuit breaker (see Fig.1) ,
