Replace Door Ajar Switch
A plastic plug on the cabinet door ts into an opening on the front of the
cabinet. The plug makes contact with the door ajar switch. If the switch is
working properly, you will hear a clicking sound from the switch when the door
is opened and closed. If the switch is not working, the door ajar troubleshooting
light will activate and the motor will not start until the door is closed properly.
Two screws hold the switch to a support on the cabinet shelf. Three wires
are hard-wired to PC board and to the switch. The entire PC board must be
replaced if this switch is defective (see the wiring diagrams).
To replace the door ajar switch:
1 Place the new switch in position on the ledge on
the cabinet housing.
2 Replace the 2 screws that hold the switch to
the cabinet. Make sure the blade on the switch
makes contact with the plastic plug on the door.
Reposition the switch if needed.
3 Place the wires securely in the wire guides
