Introduction
This Technical Service Manual contains the service and repair procedures
for Fellowes ofce shredders, Models C-320, C-320C, C-380, and C-380C.
The manual provides maintenance procedures, a list of required tools, and a
troubleshooting guide with owcharts. In addition, the manual contains a wiring
diagram and an illustrated parts list for each shredder.
Use the troubleshooting guide for help in identifying a specic problem.
Then, turn to the appropriate section in the manual for instructions.
Follow the service procedures carefully. Always note the location,
number, color, and position of parts and wires before removing them
so that they can be reassembled correctly. If there are no specic
instructions for reassembling an item, simply reverse the disassembly
procedure
From the service and repair perspective, all four models are similar,
except for the cutting assemblies. The C-320 and C-380 are strip-cut
shredders. The C-320C, and C-380C are confetti-cut shredders. The
C-320 and C-320C shredders work with standard letter and A size paper.
The C-380 and C-380C shredders can handle a maximum paper width of
15 inches (38.0 cm). All four shredders are sheet-fed.
Models C-320 and C-380
Models C-320 and C-380 are strip-cut shredders with these characteristics:
Shred size of 7/32 inch (5.8 mm)
Optimum paper cutting capacity of 26-28 sheets (5.8 mm shred size), letter
or A size, 20 lb. paper.
Maximum paper width of 10 inches (25.4 cm) for the C-320 and
15 inches (38.0 cm) for the C-380.
Recommended daily paper capacity of 14,000 sheets.
Recommended daily CD or DVD capacity is 150. Recommended daily
credit card capacity is 150.
