4 Reassemble the shredder and test the basic shredder functions,
including:
a Make sure the Ready Light (green) shines brightly when the
power is on. This indicates the correct LED alignment between
the PC board and the cover.
b Open the cabinet door to make sure the Door Ajar light is
working.
c Open the cabinet door and cover the bin full sensors with a
piece of masking or non-clear tape. Close the door, turn on
the shredder, and wait about 8 seconds for the bin full sensor
to turn on. When the bin full sensor light turns on, remove the
tape from the sensors.
d Press the Manual Forward button to make sure it is working.
e Place a sheet of paper in the paper entry slot to make sure the
auto-start feature is working.
f Press and hold the Reverse button to make sure it is working.
