2.4 Device data base (GSD)
CD ROM The accompanying CD ROM contains the device data base
(GSD) with the specific standardized device data base files
for the CP system.
Further information can be found in the file “Readme” on the
CD ROM.
Internet You can also find the device data base files in the
“GSD Library” in Internet under http://www.profibus.com
The device data base contains a selection of identifiers in
addition to the slave-typical entries (Ident number, revision,
etc.).
Enter the identifiers for the CP system in the following se-
quence:
1. digital inputs
2. digital outputs
Example:
CP system with 2 valve terminals and 2 input modules.
