Busy bit
During device-related diagnosis 1, the CP system supplies
status information as bit 1:
– Busy Bit = CP system in starting phase and therefore not
ready for data exchange
If the busy bit is set (= “log. 1”), the diagnostic bits in bytes
2...5 contain “logical 0”. Only device-related diagnosis 1 is
suppor ted.
Diagnostic possibilities
The CP system offers extensive diagnostic possibilities via the
PROFIBUS-DP. The diagram below shows the steps which are
important for diagnosing the CP system. Only those diagnos-
tic bits, which require a further diagnostic step, are repre-
sented.
