Ethernet connection
Ethernet connection is mainly used to do the maintenance of the camera: To upgrade the embedded
firmware, for remote assistance or set the camera configuration. Refer to 10.3 SSH configuration
Since firmware 1.3.1 (and above), this interface can also be used to acquire frames. However, because
the bandwidth is very low, the maximum framerate is decreased.
The Ethernet cable is not provided in the C-RED 3 camera package. It is strongly advised to use
shielded cable to respect Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) recommendations.
