2. Loop closure during scanning
The point cloud data errors accumulate as you walk. The errors decrease with the increase
of circular loop closures. Therefore, it is recommended to close the loop as often as
possible to minimize the errors.
Common environments (about 2,000 m
2
): Scan depending on the environments.
Larger environments (about 10,000 m
2
): Close as many loops as possible during
scanning.
