Imaging System.  This design is ergonomic and user-friendly for both 
right and left hand operators.  The HCU is a multifunctional device 
employing natural contours and easily reached buttons to activate the 
different functions.  All controls are located to allow the operator to grasp 
the unit and use the fingers to operate the controls.  The unit has an 
adjustable hand strap to prevent it from slipping out of the operator’s 
grasp in confined areas.  The HCU is provided with an expanding coiled 
cord to protect against “tugging” on the connector.  The HCU is 
connected directly to the CEU for system operation.  HCU characteristics 
are listed in Table 1-8.

The CEU receives a nominal +28VDC from the host and distributes the 
voltage to the SGA. 
NOTE: 
Anti-Ice electrical power is provided directly to the SGA from the 
host.   The Anti-Ice should only be used when the SGA is 
below 32°F.
