Auto Focus – Auto Focus is the default focus mode.  When 
the FOCUS Rocker Switch is pressed Auto Focus is suspended 
until the ZOOM Rocker Switch is pressed which reactivates 
Auto Focus.  Auto Focus, can be turned off by pressing the CAL 
AF Switch on the top of the HCU.  When this is done the Auto 
Focus function is turned off, not suspended.  When in Auto 
Focus for either IR or CCD camera, the symbol AF appears in 
the left middle of the display monitor. 
3.1.23  POL / LLTV Switch  
POL - When the IR is the selected sensor, pressing the POL / LLTV 
Switch toggles between white-hot and black-hot image polarity.  Either 
White Hot or Black Hot will be displayed briefly below system mode.  The 
POL Switch selects either white = hot (Figure 3-6) or black = hot display 
(Figure 3-7), IR camera only.  Figures 3-6 and 3-7 show the same cup of 
coffee, one with white hot-image polarity and the other with black-hot 
image polarity.  White-hot is the IR default polarity setting when the 
system is initially turned On.  POL affects only the IR camera. 
 
LLTV  –  When the CCD camera is the selected sensor, pressing 
the LLTV (Low Light TV) momentary switch enables and 
disables low-light mode.  Low-light mode is disabled when the 
system is initially turned On.  When in the LLTV mode the half 
moon symbol is displayed in the upper right side of the video 
display. 
3.1.24  RNG. Switch (System Option) 
The RNG switch is not used at this time. 
3.1.25  CCD – IR Switch 
Pressing this momentary switch toggles between the CCD camera and 
the IR as the active sensor.  The CCD camera is the default sensor. 
3.1.26  1.8X Extender Switch (System Option) 
 
When the IR camera is the selected sensor, pressing the 1.8X 
switch engages and disengages the 1.8X optical extender.  
When the 1.8X optical extender is engaged it is placed in front 
of the IR camera lens extending the IR camera range and the 
1.8X graphic is displayed on the right side of the display.
