Number Description
F
For future external amplifier control.
G
The 10 MHz OUT BNC connector passes the internal or external 10 MHz clock signal to
another 5560A/5550A/5540A to synchronize one or more secondary product to a primary
product.
H
The 10 MHz IN BNC connector applies an optional external clock signal to the Calibrator.
This replaces the normal internal 10 MHz clock signal in the Calibrator. Frequency
accuracy of the Calibrator is governed by the frequency accuracy of the clock signal
internal or external. This connector is also used to connect the Calibrator as a secondary
unit to another calibrator. This connection is used for multi-phase power calibration with
multiple calibrators.
I
A male (DTE) RS-232 Serial Port connector for remote control of the Calibrator. See the
5560A/5550A/5540A Remote Programmers Manual at www.flukecal.com
for proper
cabling, remote programming instructions, how to set up the serial interface and connect to
it.
J
The IEEE-488 connector is a standard parallel interface to operate the Calibrator in remote
control as a Talker/Listener on the IEEE-488 bus. See the 5560A/5550A/5540A Remote
Programmers Manual at www.flukecal.com
for bus connection and remote programming
instructions.
K
LAN 10/100/1000 Base/T Ethernet connector for remote control of the Calibrator. See the
5560A/5550A/5540A Remote Programmers Manual at www.flukecal.com
for proper
cabling instructions and how to set up the interface, and how to transmit data from the
Calibrator. The section also describes how to use the Ethernet interface for remote control.
L
USB Control Device is a Remote port for remote control of the Calibrator. See the 5560A/
5550A/5540A Remote Programmers Manual at www.flukecal.com
for instructions to
connect to the USBTMC interface and for remote programming instructions.
M
USB Host ports use the rear-panel (and front-panel) USB ports to save Calibration report
data to a flash drive. These ports are also used to update the Product firmware.
