Sine Wave
When the wave selection is sine ( ), a sine wave current or voltage signal is present on the
Calibrator outputs (Figure 11). The variables for the sine wave are amplitude, frequency, and dc offset
voltage. When you select a sine wave, the Display indicates amplitude in rms units.

Square Wave
When the wave selection is square ( ), a square wave current or voltage signal is present on the
Calibrator outputs (Figure 12). The variables for the square wave are duty cycle, amplitude, frequency,
and dc offset voltage. Whenever a square wave is selected, the Display indicates amplitude in p-p
units. If the Calibrator is set for a single voltage output, the duty cycle of the signal can be set through
the numeric keypad. To enter a new duty cycle, tap the Mode softkey and toggle the setting to DUTY
CYCLE tap the duty cycle value on screen to select it, then use the numeric keypad to enter the new
duty cycle followed by E. The negative-going edge of the square wave will move based on the
duty cycle setting.
