You must be able to dismount quickly
withouttouchingtheframe.

Please note that while preparing to mount
yourFLYERthatitwillimmediatelystart
moving as soon as you put your foot onto
the pedal when the support mode is
switched on. Do not place your foot on
the pedal when mounting. Hold the
brake, as the unfamiliar thrust may other

lead to falls or other accidents.
StandtoonesideoftheFLYERandlift
yourlegoverthee-bike.Firmlyholdthe
handle bars with both hands, as you
woulddowithabicycle.

Modern brakes have a substantially
higher braking performance than con-
ventional
brakes. Carefully practise us-
ing
yourbrakes.
Notethatwhenridinginwetconditions
andonslipperyroads,yourbike’sbrak-
ing power, particularly the rim brakes,
can
beseverelyweakened.
Expect a longer braking distance if you
areridinginwetconditions.
Lookaheadwhileridingandfamiliarise
yourselfwiththebrakes'responsetime.
Some S-Pedelecs are also equipped
withaself-foldingkickstand.Ensurethat
the kickstand folds up as soon as the
e-bikeisputuprightorassoonaspres
-
sure is no longer being exerted on the
kickstand.
Makesureyoualwaysholdyoure-bike
rmlywithbothhandsbeforeyoustartto
putitupright.
Ifyourpedalsareproducedwitharub-
ber
or plastic coating, rst carefully fa-
miliarise yourself with the grip of the
pedals.
Thepedalsmaybeveryslippery
under wet conditions. Use safe terrain
withouttrafctofamiliariseyourselfwith
step-inorcliplesspedals.
Please note that the weight distribution
of the e-bike is signicantly different
from that of a bicycle without electrical
drive.
Theweightofane-bikemakesparking,
lifting, carrying or pushing uphill more
difcult.
Take note that your FLYER must be
equippedaccordingtothelegalrequire-
ments if it is to be used in public road
trafc.
