25. Environmental
protection tips
Please take the environment into account when
caring for, cleaning or disposing of your FLYER
e-bike. Use biologically degradable cleaning
agents for maintenance and cleaning where pos
-
sible and ensure that cleaning agents are not
washed into the drain.
The complete vehicle, all components, lubrication
and cleaning agents and particularly the battery
(hazardous goods) must be disposed of in an ap
-
propriate way.

The safe functioning of your FLYER e-bike can
only be guaranteed with regular maintenance.
Maintenance work may only be performed by
FLYER specialist retailers.
The following symbol appears on the type plate of
the FLYER e-bike and on the battery:
The symbol depicting a
wheeled rubbish bin with a
line through it means that the
motor and battery must not
be disposed of with house

hold waste when they reach
the end of their service life.
If electronic components are no longer usable,
please return them to your FLYER specialist re-
tailer.
24. Generalwarranty
1.RetailersWarranty
As in most cases, the warranty agreement will be
upheld by the FLYER retailer for two years after
the point of purchase.
After two years, assuming that the battery has
been used and charged as informed in the in
-
structions manual, it should still have a capacity
level
of60%ofitsoriginallevel.
The normal wear of wearing parts (e.g. tyres,
tubes, chains, sprockets, brake pads, paint, la
-
bels) is not subject to warranty claims. The buyer
is responsible for regularly maintaining and caring
for the FL
YER e-bike (i.e. having the bike inspect-
ed as suggested in the instruction manual).
The warranty conditions will become void if you
modify or repair the FL
YER e-bike on your own.
The same applies if you exceed the bike’s limit
of use by:
Riding it in races and competitions
Riding it for commercial uses
Overcharging the battery
Using it for other unintended purposes
2.ManufacturersGuaranteefortheFLYERAG
a. Warranty Services
Despite the FLYER retailer’s right of warranty,
the FLYER AG will cover all warranty services
when the FLYER e-bike needs to be completely
remounted. In this case, the bike will be mounted
and tuned by a FLYER retailer recognized by the
FLYER AG. Starting at the point of purchase, the
warranty will begin covering the following:
Frames:a10yearwarrantyforbrokenframes;
motor, motor control unit, display, charger:
standardwarranty of 5 years forfactoryand
materialdefects;a3yearwarrantyappliesfor
“Mountain” FLYER e-bikes with factory and
materialdefects.
For second-hand bikes, the warranty is activated
on the same day it is registered.
b. Handling Warranty Claims
During the product‘s time of warranty, FLYER AG
will cover all repair costs or replacements when
the product has one of the defects listed above.
For this to occur, however, a FLYER retailer, that
is also recognized by FLYER AG, must clearly
identify the FLYER e-bike’s defect(s). You will also
need to provide a valid proof of purchase (i.e. re
-
ceipt,
alled-oute-bikepass).Thewarrantystill
applies when the purchase is passed on to a third
party. FLYER AG reserves the right to deliver or
install equivalent products when exchanging a
FLYER or components as part of warranty claims.
