Flooded type batteries
If your vehicle is equipped with “flooded” batteries,
the battery cells need to be checked and have
distilled or demineralized water added as required.
The batteries in your vehicle are located under the
front seats. They are 12 volt, 6 cell batteries.
The battery water reminder indicator in the
instrument cluster will illuminate to remind you to
check the water level in the batteries. Perform this
maintenance in a well-ventilated area that is dry and
well lit.
To check the water level in your batteries:
1. Pull straight
up on the front
of the front seat
cushions to
release the
clips.
2. Remove the
two center push
pins.
