4.3.1 FossManager Synchronisation
This view looks different when software is installed in Network mode or Solo mode
(see section
2.4.2 local configuration and the Installation Guide for information
about the two modes).
FossManager synchronisation is only applicable if your instrument is installed in
Network mode. This button is grayed out if the instrument is installed in Solo mode.
(See section
2.4 for information about Network and Solo modes.)
The FossManager Synchronisation window gives an overview of the latest
synchronisations where the analyser has exchanged data with the server.
To view the content of a session, select it and press View Log.

Pressing Update now performs a manual synchronisation which will upload all
relevant data to the FossConnect Server, download all available updates from the
FossConnect server and automatically activate the updates on the local instrument.
Automatic synchronisations are performed at certain intervals (following settings in
FossManager) and these will upload all relevant data to the FossConnect Server.

FossManager) and these will download all available updates from the FossConnect
server. These updates are not automatically activated, but the operator is alerted that
there are new updates and given the options Update now or Snooze.
