The following paragraphs regarding Setup mode explain changed or added
functions in Version 2.0.
Now you can select whether you wish to save only the currently-selected Program
or all the Programs (Programs 1-5).
You can set the MTC offset value in sub-frame units.
3. Changed and Added functions in Setup mode
* "SAvE" (saving data to an external DAT recorder) has been extended.
* "MTC OFFSET" (setting an MTC offset value) precision has been improved.
You can route digital signals from thee DATA IN connector (16-bit, 44.1kHz, S/P DIF
format) to any two tracks for digital recording.
* "dG in" (selecting a digital input channel) has been added.
You can select Tracks 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 or mixer stereo L/R outputs signals from
the DATA OUT connector (16-bit, 44.1kHz, S/P DIF format).
* "dG out" (selecting a digital output channel) has been added.
You can operate the DMT-8 in Slave mode by sending the MTC and digital signals
from the MIDI OUT connector of a master DMT-8 or D-80.
* "SLAvE" (selecting Slave mode ON/OFF) has been added.
This function allows you to set receive device number (linked to the transmit device
number) used for controlling the DMT-8 via MMC (MIDI Machine Control) or FEX
(Fostex System Exclusive Message).
* "dEvicE" (selecting a device ID) has been added.
In addition to the Undo/Redo function for editing and for Auto Punch In/Out
recording, the Undo/Redo function for direct recording (normal recording
performed by pressing the REC button while holding down the PLAY button) is now
available.
* "Undo" (selecting an effective range of the Undo function) has been added.
