Loading from the DAT machine
4. When the saving operation is completed, the display will show
"COMPLETED!" and the DMT-8 will automatically quit Setup mode.
* You process duration is about four times the length of the auto data of a
Program. For example, if the Program is a song of four minutes, saving
it will take about 16 minutes. The process of saving all Programs will
take four times the total length of all Programs.
* To abort the save operation, press the STOP button or the EXECUTE/
YES key. Pressing the STOP button or the EXECUTE/YES key repeatedly
will take you back to the previous stage and allow you to select other
parameters or quit Setup mode.
You can save Programs 1-5 simultaneously, but you cannot load them back
to the DMT-8 simultaneously. (You can load Programs one by one.) To load
data, first select the Program number, then send the data of the song from
the DAT, (Only one song can be loaded into each Program.)

Refer to the diagram in the previous section entitled "Data output pattern"
when "SAVE ALL (saving all Programs 1-5)" is selected: " and understand
the audio data output pattern before locating the beginning of the song
you want to load to the DATA tape. (ex: Refer to the diagram below if you
are loading Program 3 data from the DAT into Program 1.)
1. Press the STORE key while pressing and holding down the HOLD/> key
to select a Program you wish to load.
2. Locate a position a little before the beginning of the data on the DAT
tape (preroll). (If the data begins from the top of the tape, rewind the
tape all the way.)
3. Press the DSP SEL key select "SETUP" and press the EXECUTE/YES key.
(The "SETUP" indicator will light up).
Turn the JOG dial to select the blinking "LOAD" option, and press the EXECUTE/
YES key. The display will change as show below, and the DMT-8 will enter Load
Standby mode.
