5.2 Cleaning the sensors
Over time, paper dust may deposit on the sensors of the mailing system and cause
problems with the letter detection. In order to ensure faultless operation at all times,
we recommend cleaning the sensors once monthly. A special cleaning set is availa-
ble from Francotyp-Postalia.
How to clean the sensors
• Turn off the mailing system.
Use the compressed air spray from the FP
cleaning set to clean the sensors.
The following pages describe in detail how to
clean the sensors on the individual system
components.
