6 Tips for self-help in case of faults
6.1 Error messages and help
Problem Possible cause and remedy
… during installation
Blank display. Check whether the power cable is plugged in
correctly and the PostBase is turned on.
Delivery is incomplete /
damaged.
Do not start operating the PostBase.
Call the Customer Support.
Error during installation
procedure.
An error message with troubleshooting
information appears.
If necessary:
• Turn off the PostBase (see page 23).
• Wait one minute.
• Turn the PostBase on again.
The installation procedure restarts.
Note
: Make sure that the connection configura-
tion is set correctly.
… with automatic feeding / with sealing
Letters are not correctly fed. Mail pieces are severely bowed and do not sit
on all transport rollers.
Carefully bend the mail pieces against the
bowing direction and smooth them out.
Align the adjustment wheel setting (see page 32).
Letters are creased during
feeding.
The transport rollers press the letters too
forcefully against the contact area of the
Ramp plus.
Set the adjustment wheel to a lower setting
(see page 32).
