5 Maintenance and care
5.1 Cleaning the PostBase mailing system with Dynamic Scale
Warning! Unplug all power plugs of the
PostBase mailing system with Dynamic
Scale prior to cleaning the mailing system.
Warning! Be extremely careful when
handling liquids. Take care to ensure that no
foreign objects penetrate the mailing system
interior. However, if this does occur: Have the
mailing system checked by the Customer
Support before using it again.
• Turn off the mailing system.
• Unplug the power plugs of the franking
machine, the Dynamic Scale and the Fee-
der plus from the power sockets.
• Clean any dirt off the housings with a
slightly damp cloth. You can also use com-
mercially available washing up liquid.
When cleaning the housing parts and letter
receiving tray, you can use the cloths and
cleaning spray from the FP cleaning set.
Note
: Avoid soaking the conveyor belts with
the cleaning spray.
