5.2 Start-up
Unpacking Take the CompoSeal Universal out of its protective transport container.
Keep the container for a possible future transport.
Place of installation Place the CompoSeal Universal on a solid base.
Variations in temperature In case of important temperature differences a sufficient acclimatization
time has to be ensured.
Scope of delivery Prior to the initial start-up, check that all parts have been accounted for.

General external checks Check the CompoSeal Universal on the outside for possible damage in
transit or other damage.
Connections
The rear panel of the CompoSeal Universal is provided with a
connection for a grounded power cable. Ensure that the voltage
indicated on the rear panel of the device corresponds to the voltage of
your power supply system. Please ensure that the voltage label
indicates the voltage required. If not, please immediately contact
Fresenius Kabi or your local distributor.
Connect the power cable to the power connection on the rear of the
device and to a grounded receptacle outlet.
Turning the device on Switch the device on using the main switch on its rear. A brief alarm will
be sounded and the green Power Control lamp (power on) on the
indicator foil lights indicating that the device is ready for operation.
