30 FRITZ!Box Fon – 2 Starting FRITZ!Box Fon Operation
Internet Telephony
1. Activate the option “Use Internet number 1” and enter
the Internet number and the Internet account informa-
tion you received from your Internet telephony provider
in the corresponding fields.
2. Activate the option “Add area code” and enter your lo-
cal prefix there. Click “Next”.
Telephony
1. Specify whether FRITZ!Box Fon is to establish telephone
connections using the Internet or the fixed-line net-
work.
2. Click “Finish”.
This concludes the basic settings for FRITZ!Box Fon. The sys-
tem can now be used for connections to the Internet and the
fixed-line telephone network, and for Internet telephony. See
the section “Configuring FRITZ!Box Fon” on page 31 for infor-
mation about how to tailor the FRITZ!Box Fon configuration to
your needs.
