7 Decommissioning
7.1 Mothballing
The following measures should be taken if the boiler is to remain out of service for
several weeks (e.g. during the summer):
r Clean the boiler thoroughly and close the doors fully
If the boiler is to remain out of service during the winter:
r Have the system completely drained by a qualified technician
Ä Protection against frost
7.2 Disassembly
To disassemble the system, follow the steps for assembly in reverse order.
7.3 Disposal
r Ensure that they are disposed of in an environmentally friendly way in accordance
with waste management regulations in the country (e.g. AWG in Austria)
r You can separate and clean recyclable materials and send them to a recycling
centre.
