Circuit for Preventing Stand Alone Operation
The inverter has a permissible circuit for preventing stand alone operation.
Grid Failure
The standard measurement and safety procedures integrated into the inverter
ensure that the power feed is immediately interrupted in the event of a grid fail-
ure (shut-off by the utility or damage to lines).
RCMU RCMU = Residual Current Monitoring Unit
The inverter is equipped with an RCMU according to Austrian standard ÖVE/
ÖNORM E 8001-4-712.
It monitors residual currents from the solar module to the inverter grid connec-
tion and disconnects the inverter from the grid when an improper residual cur-
rent is detected.
Additional residual current protection may be needed depending on the installa-
tion's protection system or the requirements of the utility company. In this case,
use a type B residual current circuit breaker with a release current of at least
100 mA.
