Pre-set welding
current
The arc-force parameter is for influencing
the short-circuiting amperage at the
instant of droplet transfer.
If there are problems with rod electrodes
tending to "stick", set the arc-force para-
meter to a higher value.
- Stage 0 ................Soft, low-spatter arc
- Stage 3 (4) ..........Harder, more stable
arc

The "characteristic" parameter is for
setting the slope of the falling welding-
current characteristic. The welding proper-
ties achieved when cellulose electrodes
are welded are determined to a large
extent by the slope of the characteristic.
If there are problems with cellulose
electrodes tending to "stick", set the arc-
force parameter to a higher value (shallow
characteristic).
