Troubleshooting
Warning! An electric shock can be fatal. Before opening the machine:
- Shift the mains switch into the „O“ position
- Unplug the machine from the mains
- Put op an easy-to-understand warning sign to stop anybody inadvertently
switching it back on again
- Using a suitable measuring instrument, check to make sure that electrically
charged components (e.g. capacitors) have been discharged.
Warning! Inadequate PE conductor connections can cause serious injury and
damage. The housing screws provide a suitable PE conductor connection for
earthing (grounding) the housing and must NOT be replaced by any other
screws which do not provide a reliable PE conductor connection.
No welding current
Mains switch is ON, indicator for selected welding process is not lit up
Cause: Break in mains lead
Remedy: Check mains lead and mains voltage
No welding current
Mains switch is ON, indicator for selected welding process is lit up
Cause: Break in welding cable connection
Remedy: Check plug-in connections
Cause: Faulty or broken earth connection
Remedy: Earth workpiece
No welding current
Mains switch is ON, indicator for selected welding process is lit up, malfunction indicator
is lit up
Cause: Maximum duty cycle exceeded - machine overloaded - fan is running
Remedy: Observe duty cycle
Cause: Thermostatic cut-out system has tripped - fan is running; temperature
sensor is faulty
Remedy: Wait until cooling down period is over, machine will switch on automatical-
ly - if not: machine should be serviced
Cause: Insufficient cooling air reaching machine
Remedy: Ensure sufficient supply of cooling air
Cause: Dust filter is dirty
Remedy: Clean the dust filter
Cause: Power module is very dirty
Remedy: Remove cover of machine and clean out with compressed air (see "Care
and Maintenance")
