4. Connection and Settings
Turning on the Power Synchronized Unit

2 Connect the power plug at the other end of the power cord to the power socket.
When the power plug is connected to the power socket, the power synchronized unit is turned on.
Check that the CHECK LED is off and the POWER LED is blinking green on the power synchronized unit.
End of procedure
Connect the power plug to the power socket that belongs to the same power line as the ETERNUS DX/AF.
Do not connect the power plug to a server UPS unit.
CAUTION
Do
• Ensure the power plug is fully inserted into the socket. Failure to do so may
cause electric shock or fire.
• Do not use the server service outlet to connect the power cord for the
power synchronized unit.
• Do not overload electrical sockets. Doing so may cause electric shock or
fire.
Unplug
• When unplugging the power cord, hold the plug. Do not pull on the cord.
Pulling the cord may expose or snap the inner wires, which may cause
electric shock or fire.
• When the power synchronized unit is not used for a long period of time,
unplug all power plugs. Failure to do so may lead to fire.
