8 Quick Setup
8.1 Overview
A simple wizard is provided for setting the IP address of the FP-1000 printer.
Quick Setup is available when using the LAN interface.
Main functions:
・ Set the printer IP address.
・ Can also be used to install PR-PortManager.
8.2 Starting Quick Setup
Procedure:
(1) Insert the supplied FP-1000 Setup Disk into the PC’s CD-ROM drive.
A menu window may open automatically after you insert the disk. In this case, click the [Exit] button
to exit the installer.
(2) Click the Windows [Start] button to open the menu and then click [Run].
* On Windows 7 or Vista, click the
Windows logo button in the lower-left corner of the desktop
screen and then click [All Programs] [Accessories] [Run].
In the “Open” field, enter “D:\Data\Utility\LAN\Quickset\Prsetup.exe” or click the [Browse]
button and select “D:\Data\Utility\LAN\Quickset\Prsetup.exe”.
Next, click the [OK] button.
Note 1: In this example, the CD-ROM is drive D:. Change this to match the drive name
on your computer.
