Connecting the notebook to the port replicator
When the note book is used in combination with the port replicator, the AC
adapter must always be conne cted to the port replicator.
We recommend that the notebook is not ope rated w ith the LCD screen closed when
the notebook is connected to th e port replicator. The resulting overheating can cause
reduced performance and increased activity of the integrate d fan.
Portreplicator
► If the AC adapter is plugged into the power outlet, unplug it from the pow er outlet.
► Disconnect the AC adapter
from the notebook.

► Position the no tebook so that it is in line with the back edge of the port replicator.
► Place the not ebook onto the port replicator (1) and ensure th at it locks into place correctly.
