If a fault occurs, try to correct it as described. If you fail to correct the problem, proceed as follows:
► Make a note of the step s and the circumstances that led to the fault. Also
make a note of any error messages displayed.
► Switch the notebook off.

Before you place the call, have th e following information ready so that the customer
support representative c an provide you with the fastest possible solution:
• The model name a nd serial number of the notebook. The serial number is
located on a sticker on the underside of the notebook.
• Notes with the mess
ages that appeared on the screen and
informationonaco
ustic signals.
• Any changes you have made to the hardware or software since
receiving the notebook.
• Any changes you h
avemadetotheBIOS Setup settings after receiving the notebook.
• Your system configura tion and all peripheral devices connected to your system.
• Your sales cont
ract.
Our notebooks have been designed primarily with m obile applications in mind.
This mean s that considerable effort has been made to optimize components and
equipment in terms of weight, space and energy requiremen ts. Depending on the
particular configuration you h ave purchased, it is possible that functionality may be
slightly reduced compared to a desktop PC if you are running processor-intensive
gaming software, e.g. ga mes with intensive 3D graphics. Updating your hardware with
drivers which have not been a pproved by Fujitsu may result in performance losses,
data losses or malfunction of the equipment. A list of approved drivers and current

Help if problems occur
Should you encounter a problem with your computer that you cannot resolve yourself:
► Note the ID number of your device. The ID number is fou nd on the type rating
plate on the back or underside of the casing.
► For further clarification of the problem, c ontact the Fujitsu Service Desk. W hen you do
this, please have ready the ID n umber and serial number of your system.
