► Position the battery at the edge.
► Insert the battery into the battery compartment until it engages positively (1).
► Slide the release button in the direction of the arrow (2).
► Complete the removal, see chapter "
Finishing component removal " , Page 72.
Modular bay devices

The design of your notebook enables the flexible use of notebook batteries and drives. The
following modu lar bay devices can be operated in the modular bay of yo ur notebook:
• Second battery
• Second hard disk drive
•DVDRWdrive
•Blu-rayBD-Wdrive
• Weight Saver
• LIFEBOOK Bay Projector
Only use modular bay devices de signed for your notebook.
Do not use force when installing or removing the modular bay devices.
Make sure that no foreign objects enter the modular bay.
You can swap mo dular bay devices du ring operation. This means you
do not need to switch off the notebook.
Log off the modular bay device via the corresponding symbol in the task bar.
The modular bay device can now be removed without any f urther a ctions b eing necessary.
