Connecting the notebook to the Port Replicator
If yo u connect the notebook to the Port Replicator during operation, problems can
occur. We recommend that you switch off the notebook beforehand.
The AC adapter must be connected to the Port Replicator when the
notebook is connected to the Port Replicator.
We re commend that the notebook is not operated with the LCD screen closed when
the notebook is connected to the Port Rep licator. The resulting overheating can
cause r educed performance and increased activity of the integrate d fan.
PortReplic ato r
► Switch the notebook off.
► Remove the AC plug for the AC ada pter from the power outlet.
► Disconnect the AC adapter cable from the DC socket (DC IN) of the notebo ok.

► Position
the note book so that it is in line with the back edge of the Port Replicator.
► Place the notebook onto the Port R eplicator (1) and ensure that it locks into place correctly.
