Working with the notebook
Access v ia UMTS / LTE
If you ordered an integrated UMT S / LT E module with your system, you can enjoy optimum
reception and maximum energy efficiency without awkward cables or antenn as. The
optional UMTS / LTE module is ready for use straight away.
If you did not o rder a UMTS / LTE module, you can purchase the accessories for UMTS /
LTE reception from your retailer or your Fujitsu Technology Solutions dealer.
You will find information on establishing the connection with the UM TS / LTE network
in the documentation for the hardware used.
Your device can connect to the Interne t via UMTS / LTE. To do this, use one
of the following types of con nect ion:
• Integrated UMTS / LTE module (availability dependent on your model variant)
• a USB dongle (a USB stick with your mobile phone provider’s SIM card)
• a mobile end-device (e.g. mobile phone with Bluetooth or cable connection)
Ethernet and LAN
EthernetLAN
The internal network module of your not ebook supports Ethernet LAN. You can use it to
establish a connection to a local network (LAN = Lo cal Area Network).
