The CD/DV D indicator flashes when an optical d isk is inserted. The indicator goes out when the
drive is ready for re ading. The indicator lights up when th e drive is being accessed. You must
never remove the optical disk unde r any circumstances while the indicator is lit.
If the CD/DVD indicator does n ot go out a fter inserting an o ptical disk, but instead
continues to flash, this means that the drive cannot acce ss the optical disk.
Either the optical disk is damaged or dirty or you are using an optical
disk that the drive cannot read.

The notebook must be switched on.

► Push the inse rt/eject button (1).

The drive tray will open.
► Gently pull the drive tray (2) completely out.
► Place the optical disk in the drive tray with
the printed side facing upwards.
or
► Remove an inserted optical disk.
► Push in the drive tray again until
you feel it lock into place.
