Using the Security Lock
Your device c omes with a Security Lock device for the Kensington Lock Cable. You can
use the Kensington L ock Cable, a sturdy steel cable, to help protect your notebook from
theft. The Kensington Lock Cable is available as an accessory.
Fujitsu recommends the use of a combination lock.

Configuring password p rotection in BIOS Setup Utility
Before using the various options for password pro tection in the BIOS Setup utility
to increase data security, please observe the following:
Make a note of the passwords and keep th em in a safe place. If you forget your
supervisor password you will not be able to access your notebook. Deletion of the
password is not covered by y our warranty and a charge will be made for assistance.

ord can be up to 32 characters long an d can contain letters, numbers and
special ch
aracters. A distinction is made between upper and lower case.
When usin
g special characters, you must rememb er that these are dependent
on the cou
ntry variants of the keyboard used.
