ThisoptionallowsyoutospecifywhichSCSIdeviceyouwanttobootyour
SERVERfrombyusingtheSCSIID.ThedefaultsettingisSCSIID｢0｣.The
SCSIIDselectedheremustcorrespondtotheIDconfiguredfortheBoot
Device.

WhenLUN(LogicalUnitNumbers)andMultipleLUNSupportareenabled
fortheBootDevice,usingthisoptionallowsyoutospecifythedeviceyouare
bootingfrom.ThedefaultsettingisLUN｢0｣.
3SCSIDeviceConfiguration(#0to#15)
ThisoptionallowsyoutoconfigurespecificparametersforeachSCSIdeviceonthe
SCSIbus.ToconfigureaSCSIdevice,youmustknowtheSCSIIDassignedtoit.
・ InitiateSyncNegotiation
Usingthisoptionallowsyoutodeterminewhethertoinitiatesynchronousdata
transfernegotiation(Syncnegotiation)betweentheSCSIdeviceandthiscard
usingthiscard.Thedefaultsettingis｢yes｣.
SyncnegotiationisaSCSIfunctionthatallowsthiscardandthedevice
connectedtothiscardtotransferdatainsynchronousmode.Thesynchronous
datatransferrateishigherthantheasynchronousdatatransferrate.
WhentheSCSIdeviceinitiatesthisfunction,thiscardalwaysrespondsto
SyncNegotiation.IfthiscardandtheSCSIdevicedonotinitiateSync
negotiation,dataistransferredasynchronously.
SincemostSCSIdevicessupporttheSyncNegotiationfunction,andthuscan
transferdataataratehigherthanasynchronousdatatransferrate,youshould
usuallyleavethisSyncNegotiationStartsettingsetto｢yes｣.
Note
SomeoldtypesofSCSI-1devicesdonotsupportSyncNegotiation.IfSync
NegotiationStartissetto｢yes｣inthissituation,yourcomputermighthang
ormalfunction.ForsucholdtypesofSCSI-1devices,setSyncNegotiation
Startto｢no｣.
