Host Interfaces
A host interface is a board that has interface ports to connect a controller to the server.
Figure 1.8 and Figure 1.9 show host interfaces. Table 1.4
shows the status and meanings of each LED.
● Host Interface (for FC Cable Connections) (4port)
The ports on the host interface are used for connecting a controller to a server with an FC cable. There is one
type of 4port host interface for FC cable connections: FC 16Gbit/s.

(for FC Cable Connections) (2port)
The ports on the host interface are used for connecting a controller to a server with an FC cable. There are
three types of 2port host interfaces for FC cable connections: FC 32Gbit/s, FC 16Gbit/s, and iSCSI 10Gbit/s.
The following figure shows an example of when the host interface is FC.
