SETTING YOUR LOCAL AREA
CODE
The telephone uses the programmed area
code to determine the number format to
display when a valid Caller ID signal is
received.
1. Press the OPTION button.
SET
OR
appears in the display.
2. Press REVIEW
(
OR
)
button until
LOCAL AREA CODE
appears in the
display.
3. To enter and change the area code, press
OPTION again. The display shows the
stored area code. The left-most digit or a
minus sign (-) flashes, indicating the unit
is ready to accept an area code entry.
4. Press 1-9 on the key pad to enter the
code. If you make a mistake, press
ERASE to clear all 3 digits and re-enter
the code.
